Javea
Javea Holiday Rentals
The World Health Organisation once named it as having one of the healthiest climates in the world, enjoying more recorded hours of sunshine per year than any other place in Spain. Javea offers a high quality holiday for visitors of all ages. It is situated on the Costa Blanca midway between Valencia and Alicante - just over an hour from each. There are only a few hotels so the bulk of the tourist industry relies on the wealth of self-catering apartments and villas available here. There are three main areas:
There's the old town which is a great place to visit if you're interested in Spanish history and culture. There is a truly Spanish feel to the place with charming, narrow streets and a quiet and relaxing ambience.
Then there's the fishing port with a delightful place to visit with its mixture of fishing vessels and luxury yachts together with a brightly lit promenade and clean pebbled beaches.
Finally the Arenal which has a beautiful sandy half-moon bay with a gentle slope to the sea - it is monitored by the Red Cross Beach Patrol and is accredited with a blue flag standard so is ideal for young and old alike. Behind the beach is a promenade lined with bars and restaurants-a great place to stroll in the evening. There is a small fair for the children in the summer months with rides, trampoline and go-karts.
A fun train also runs during the summer months and is a great way to get between these three areas.
