There are a range of sporting activities close by including go-karting, quad- biking, tennis and bowls as well as some excellent golf courses within easy reach including the internationally renowned course of La Sella, the Seve Balesteros designed course of Oliva Nova and the famous championship links courses of Real De Faula.

There are also various theme parks in the area with many attractions for all ages.These include Vergel safari park, Mundomar animal water park, Aqualandia theme swimming park and Terra Mitica and Terra Natura which are fun parks, boasting some of the largest rides in Europe.

Javea has a typical Mediterranean climate with 2500 hours of sunshine per year and temperatures ranging from 15°C to 32°C .making it an ideal location for year round holidays.

There are a number of clean beaches and coves in the vacinity which offer a choice of water sports such as wind surfing, jet biking or sailing and the warm seas and crystal clear waters are perfect for diving, snorkeling and water skiing.

In the port are the pebble beaches of La Grava (left) and Pope Tango (right). These are Blue Flag approved with lifeguards during the summer. They are easy to reach with parking along the seafront and bus and taxi stops. There are ample favilities including bars and restuarants

La Barraca (left) is opposite the rich sea bottoms of Portichol isle with arches, corridors, tunnels and rocky formations making it ideal for keen divers. Close by is Sardinera (right) cove which is accessible by foot along a path roaming through pinewoods.

The Arenal (left) has a beautiful sandy half-moon bay with a gentle slope to the sea and accredited by the World Health Organization with a blue flag standard and is monitored by the Red Cross Beach Patrol.A stroll along the front is the shingle beach of Cala Blanca (right).
